Inflation measures how fast prices rise, not whether they fall. In June 2023 the 12-month rate dropped to 3.0%, yet the same basket cost more than ever.

Source & method

Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U), U.S. city average, all items, not seasonally adjusted, from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics public data API on 8 October 2026. The 12-month change compares each June with the June before; the basket scales $100 by the index against June 2020.

01 / How it works

Every lesson.
A path back to evidence.

Four steps connect a dated observation to what you understand. A lesson explains a mechanism; it never tells you what to buy.

The lesson loopObserve → Explain → Experiment → Check
  1. 01

    Observe

Start from a dated observation: an official release, a market level or a recorded event.

    ProducesA sourced, dated value
  2. 02

    Explain

Read the mechanism at the depth you choose: foundations, practice or analysis.

    ProducesAn explanation at your level
  3. 03

    Experiment

Change one assumption in a labelled model and watch the outcome move. Controls never alter recorded data.

    ProducesA labelled what-if
  4. 04

    Check

Answer two application questions with different examples. A wrong answer points to the idea it depends on.

Eight tracks, one foundation.

Index funds and ETFs, mutual funds, stocks, options, CFDs, metals, commodities and forex share the same basics.

/ B

Real events, revealed in order.

Event studies hold back what happened until you choose to see it.

/ C

Your depth, per topic.

Knowing stocks does not skip the options basics, and you can change depth at any time.

02 / Boundaries

Know what
a lesson can tell you.

Lessons teach mechanisms and history. They do not recommend investments, place orders or predict prices.

  1. 01

    Official data first

Public lessons use official releases such as BLS consumer prices. Licensed market data stays in the operator's own workspace.

    Current scope
  2. 02

    Understanding, not profit

Checks score your reasoning, never a guessed direction or a return. Illustrative models are labelled as such.

    By design
  3. 03

    Strategy and scenario labs

Sourced strategy comparisons and future-scenario journeys are still being built. The Lab offers recorded replay and labelled scenarios today.

03 / How it's engineered

Agentic engineering.
Explicit constraints.

AI agents work inside defined architecture and API boundaries. Runtime validation checks their changes; bounded retries keep failures visible.

Agentic AI systems operating under upfront constraints and runtime validation.
